Hey, all! This is Cindy, Catherine's mom....it's a miracle! (what? Catherine's recovery?) No, the fact that I actually got on this blog and am posting something without Catherine or my niece Anne to help me!! It took me a few tries, but I think I am doing it!!

OK, on to Catherine...Anne and I got here to the recovery room this morning at 9, which was supposed to be the time for me to get in to see her....I got through the hospital gown part, and the hand washing....and then they told me, no, I couldn't see her, because they were taking her throat tube out, turning her, etc. etc. So I didn't get to see her till about 10 this morning....but she is doing great....she couldn't talk very well (throat dry, etc.) So the first thing she says is, "Sorry I can't talk that well" (She's apologizing to ME!!) What a trooper! Anyway, she looks great....(I think she feels like hell, but...) she is very coherent, etc. etc. She says she feels like she's doing a back-bend....(in other words, she's feels so straight, she feels bent backwards!) Anyway, after I saw her for a half hour and wiped her lips, which are chapped, Anne got to go in (at 11:30 AM) When she came out she said Catherine asked her to wipe her eyes (goop in them) Anne's baby Zoe has an eye goop issue, so Anne wiped really firmly and got the goop out, so Catherine apparently said to Anne, "I knew you'd be better than my mom....my mom was just dapping so gently at my lips, it hardly helped...." So, apparently I am a failure as a lip wiper!! But I know my Catherine is in there!!
Anyway, I get to go in and see her again in 5 mins. so I am getting off now, to get ready to see her.
